Today, according to W3Techs historical trends in the usage of content management systems, WordPress passed the 28% market share.

For the last 6 years, W3Techs have been collecting information about the usage of technologies to build and run websites, and to produce and publish surveys that give insights into that subject.
Content Management Stats
The CMS usage stats shows various systems, including WordPress, and the percentages of websites using them.
In February 2016 WordPress reached the 26% milestone. At the end of October 2016 WordPress reached the 27% milestone. And today it passed the 28% market share.
Last year the annual growth was ~2%. This year the growth is ~1.5%. WordPress is still growing, but in lower yearly rate.
