Another milestone for WordPress, according to W3Techs historical trends in the usage of content management systems, WordPress passed the 29% market share.

For the last 6 years, W3Techs have been collecting information about the usage of technologies to build and run websites, and to produce and publish surveys that give insights into that subject.
Content Management Stats
WordPress is dominating the CMS charts. Over time the platform is consistently increases it’s market share.
In February 2016 WordPress reached the 26% milestone. Eight months later, in October 2016, WordPress reached the 27% milestone. After seven more months, in May 2017, it passed the 28% market share. Six months after, in November 2017, the 29% market share was reached.
With this growth rate, the 30% milestone should be reached in five months – in April 2018.
